Come join Weld Like A Girl, Past The Threshold Show, Myo Lab, Yuma United MMA & The Littlewood Co-op as we celebrate life’s journey and reflect on how it shaped us into the women we are today!
We all have backstories… with each passing moment we draw experiences that force us to reach within and find the strength, courage and wisdom to persevere despite the circumstances. Let’s come together to share some of what makes us stronger.
During this evening empowerment workshop, we will talk, munch on snacks and play with physics to harness the power of a light saber in a safe environment… we will cut through solid steel, typically considered immovable, to create a beautifully simple symbol that represents some of the life lessons we have learned along our journey. We will then affix this symbol to a wooden base to create a wall hanging that will serve as a reminder to stay connected with the powerful force inside each of us.
Please note: due to the nature of this experience, we ask that all participants plan to stay for the duration of the event. There will be time to share and learn from each other; leaving early will likely disrupt the flow.
Also, please wear jeans and closed-toe shoes (boots are preferred, tennis shoes are OK; no sandals). Ankles and feet need to be completely covered. You can wear a t-shirt or tank top as we will have welding jackets, helmets, gloves and safety glasses for you to use.
This event is a women-only event. We plan to offer a similar co-ed opportunity in the future.
