What better way to celebrate International Hobbit Day than to create a small round door that appears to be a portal into Middle Earth?
During this introductory class, learn to weld and cut steel to make a functioning Hobbit entryway. First, learn the basics of wire welding. Next, cut steel with a light saber. Then, assemble the pieces to create a small movable door leading to Hobbiton.
HOBBIT DOOR CLASS DETAILS
- All welding safety gear (welding jackets, gloves, helmets, safety glasses, etc.) provided.
- We teach you to weld, plasma cut and use a chop saw. Other tools may also be involved, depending upon your particular portal.
- Wear jeans and closed-toed shoes (preferably leather), along with a cotton t-shirt.
- Water and light refreshments are on hand.
