SUMMARY:Petal to the Metal
DESCRIPTION:\n\nCreate a small bouquet of steel roses through various black
 smithing\, cutting &amp\; welding techniques. Hammers\, anvils\, plasma cu
 tters\, MIG welders\, etc. will be singing today as you forge your very ow
 n long-stemmed roses! Participants will have the opportunity to create mul
 tiple roses to arrange in a bouquet or place in long stemmed rose boxes (b
 oxes provided).\n\n\n\n 	ALL classes begin with safety! Participants will 
 be taught about welding safety\, blacksmithing\, plasma cutting and GMAW (
 MIG welding). Demonstrations and practice time are provided.\n 	We provide
  a small group setting of usually no more than 8 people so that everyone c
 an get the individual instruction and attention they need.\n 	We provide a
 ll safety gear including safety glasses\, welding jackets\, gloves and wel
 ding helmets. [If you already have your own safety glasses that fit you pe
 rfectly\, you are welcome to bring them. Otherwise\, we provide standard A
 NSI-approved safety glasses that are yours to take home.]\n 	This class is
  co-ed.\n 	Children are permitted to register\; so far\, we have taught ki
 ds as young as 5 years old but only you know how mature your child is. (If
  you have a mature child under the age of 7\, please contact us so we can 
 discuss the possibility of participation.)  Children under the age of 14 
 are asked to register and participate with an adult.\n 	WHAT TO WEAR: jean
 s\, cotton t-shirt and closed-toe shoes (leather shoes or boots preferred\
 ; tennis shoes are OK\; no sandals)\; please ensure ankles and feet are co
 mpletely covered. T-shirts or tank tops are fine as you will be wearing a 
 welding jacket on top.\n 	Water\, tea and light refreshments will be provi
